Hi everyone, I am in the process of setting up a new lab. We will process FNA specimens as cell blocks and then treat them as regular histology specimens. I am curious as to finding a proper VIP schedule for processing these specimens. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance, Emily Horst --

[Histonet] need automation system for fluorescent Multiplex IHC

Dear All, I work in a research lab where the focus is on early stages of Alzheimer’s Disease. We are seriously considering using an automated staining system for fluorescent Multiplex IHC, for the simultaneous detection of multiple (2-6 or more) proteins of interest in FFPE brain sections.

When we saw this happening it was slide related, especially with it happening across all platforms. We use Cardinal Healthcare SuperFrost Plus and haven't had an issue. Every time we have tried another brand we have seen this happen to some degree. Aimee M. Duddey, MLT(ASCP) Assistant
