I have done several yrs of work on Eisenia fetida worms with a PhD student.
I decided to do a std Pwax processing schedule.
The student dissected the appropriate area then placed in 10% Formalin in PBS
pH7.4 for 24hrs on a rocker ( gentle agitation)
I then processed to Pwax using a std

Roche issued a safety notice that was for the Benchmark Ultra within the last
month or so about this very issue (something about the danger associated with
leaks/liquid onto electrical systems). I'm surprised they told you to keep
using it since it poses a real safety risk. If I can
I have crassicauda specimens ( kidney worms - relatively large worms 1-2 mm
width) And would like to know how you fix and process these for paraffin
sections of H slides.Do you do anything different for this?
