I've been told that the HPV testing will be discontinued as of end of year. HPV expresses the P16 gene but so does other type of cancers associated with HPV. It is possible to have a P16 pos and HPV negative test. But is it not possible to have HPV pos and P16 neg. if HPV is positive then the

My materials management department told me that AMPHYL has been discontinued. Ventana recommends that we clean/decontaminate the Benchmark and the Ultras with AMPHYL. Has anyone else ran across this? Has AMPHYL really been discontinued? Is there a substitute we can use. Thanks everyone!

Does anyone use the Benchmark Ultra - care to share your comments? We are considering switching from the Benchmark XT to the Ultra but would like to hear from users about this instrument. Is there an increase in reagent cost? Can you really add more slides without adding time to the run?
