Histonetters,
Fisher-Scientific has discontinued selling Microsharp Cleaning Fluid and

I use 10% formic acid for large human bones but I don't think your bone
sections are that large.

Histonetters,
I was wondering how long a bone specimen (portion of pt's tibia in this case)
can be in a refrigerator before it will decompose and not produce a good
quality section? The case was completed at 3:30 pm, refrigerated and then put
into formalin at 8:15 am the next day? I am
Everyone,
I currently use a Nikon Digital Ice 3, Coolscan IV ED to scan 35 mm photos.
Lately, it is often scanning a magenta color or at times either a faded or
blurry image and I know I will need to replace it soon. Can anyone recommend a

Hello Histonetters,
I have been using aluminum gutter guard to wrap my bones when I manually

Hello,
I work for two orthopedic surgeons and one would like his whole bone
frozen at -80 degrees Celsius and the other one would like it fixed in
10% buffered formalin before slicing on a band saw. I have to
photograph and x-ray upon receiving them which isn't always the same day
of surgery.
Hello Everyone,
I am attempting to cut decaled (with EDTA) dog bone tissue which is
attached to a partial tooth, manually processed and embedded in Tissue
Prep 2 paraffin. I have cut one block but have only gotten thick and
thin sections. I am currently using a Microm HM 325 using high
responses.
