Our pathologist would like us to set up a procedure for cytologies (urines, in particular) that will NOT lyse red blood cells. Does anybody know of a transport/preservation medium for urine cytologies that does not lyse RBC's? And is anybody using it with ThinPrep? We are currently using ThinPrep with Cytolyt, however the Cytolyt solution is designed to lyse the RBC's.
