Osmium Tetroxide is highly toxic. Storage is an issue and working with it, you
must be under a hood with eye protection. I think most (if not all) labs have
banned this substance? If you do not “have” to work with this material, I would
recommend avoiding it. Just my opinion, thanks…

I would suggest longer time in 60 degree oven before H&E staining… perhaps 60
min.
Also, if you are not using “plus” or coated slides , I would try using them.

Glad to see this postI also use the dryer balls too (two tennis balls) and
it helps greatly!! No more static and cutting
is much more "tame".
Not to mention that it is healthier because dryer sheets are full of chemicals
