Awhile ago I had posted looking for anyone that had any in house HSV controls.
A gentleman had reached out to me; however, I never did receive the controls
that he said he was sending me.
I am trying to reach him.
I am also looking for anyone else that may also have HSV controls. We are in

Wondering what everyone is using for their "wet" respiratory cytology
specimens(bronch specimens, BAL, brushings etc)
Currently we have our microbiology department use mucolytic agent. We also use

Hello all,
I am looking for positive CMV controls for use for IHC. If anyone has any that
they would be willing to share or trade for other tissue control material
please message me!
Also, if not, where are you buying your CMV control slides/material from?
Thank you in advance!

I have a question for those of you that also may perform cytology specimens at
your facility. How do you prevent carryover from one case to another? For

Happy Friday Histonetters!
Anyone performing CMV by IHC? If so what are you using for a protocol? We
ordered CMV from Cell Marque but they give no suggestions for a protocol. We
are using the Leica Bond for our IHCs. Any input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

We always put our patient and control tissue on the same slide. We have many
controls already cut and then we place the patient tissue below. If we are
using blanks that were previously cut then we cut the control and place that
below the patient tissue. We chose to not invest in the
