Hello Everyone,
The print head on the cassette printer needs to be replaced again.
Informed that it will need to be replaced again in another 3 -4 months.
This is something I am not looking forward to seeing repaired over and over
again.
This piece of equipment was made in 2010.

A new person in a lab needs more time than one month to get used to the
routine feel of a new place. Did they use a PRN during their search for
the new tech. If so, have that person come in and help during the vacation
A couple of ideas:
Suggest looking for a used paraffin bath from an outside vendor. #2 Idea: If
anyone knows of a lab that is closing up, they might be able to contact
Andrea and pass that info. I know when a lab is closing up, storage of
equipment becomes burdensome.

The lab I work at has informed us that due to their own research, a single
histotech should be able to do 100 blocks an hour.
I'm not sure if they expect embedding, trimming, writing slides, sectioning
and manual staining in this goal.
