Hi all, I questioned the Leica paraplast that we have received too. It is real
gummy and sticky. Takes me forever to cut. I asked and was informed that it is
the same stuff we have always got and there is no difference. Except all of us
techs have noticed a big difference.

At our office we have 24 hour service and work six days a week. We all have
fixed hours and it is much easier to stay on one shift then to be constantly
changing everyones hours. More mistakes are made this way. Techs start coming
in at 10:30 at night and some at midnight, 2:30 am 3, 5 6, 10
The other day just about every machine in the lab decided to beep and alarm all
at the same time. They all sound the same!!!
The stainers in histo and cyto. The processors that they were done cleaning.
The alarms on the freezers ( been open too long)
Both of the Venatana IHC machines and spe
turn it back on. Not sure
exactly why this happens but if we follow this course of action our slides are
staining correctly.
