We routinely do PAS with and without digestion, Trichrome and Iron on liver biopsies. Some doctors I've worked with preferred an Alcian Yellow/Toluidine Blue or a Giemsa for H. Pylori. We occasionally did H. Pylori using immunohistochemistry. We also do Iron stains on all bone marrow smears (fixed in methanol) and biopsies. Hope this helps.

For example, does anyone run stains to rule out H. pylori on all astric biopsies? Any information as to the standards in other labs would be reat. hanks, risti ______________________________________________ istonet mailing list isto...@lists.utsouthwestern.edu ttp://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet _______________________________________________ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet
