Diff-Quik is a trade name - belongs to whatever Scientific Products is
called this week. It's often used generically for all two-stain
Romanowsky type stains, since there isn't a really satisfactory
generic name for them.
I've used several generic stains with separate eosin ("xanthine") and
blue (
Fisher has a Hema 3 System in 500mL bottles for $144.75 that I use.
