Rinse in dist water ( or tap water) x3 over 30 mins No big deal to do this but nice to get rid of extra smells in your processing reagents ( depending on where you start processing: I start in 90% alcoholsure, I ask for recd specimens to be rinsed in water then transferred to 70% alcohol

Hi, I got some cadaver tissue floating in "LTP embalming fluid w/ phenol". Can I put those straight into the processor? Or has to be rinsed/soaked before? If so what should I use? My Internet searches did not bring up anything useful. Thank you! Hanna Preiszner ETSU/QCOM Dept of Pathology
