Our threshold is 12 tests/year for bringing on a new antibody in-house. On the
flip side, if ordering volumes fall below 12/year, we consider dropping the
antibody.

First you need to determine which tests they have been requesting, and at what
frequency. Evaluate the need over several months for each antibody. If it is
ordered frequently enough to be cost effective and the pathologists will
maintain competency, then you should consider bringing it in.
