You could automate the XP to Linux step with Jenkins. Use a remote agent on
the XP machine for the first part, the the output of that build can be
automatically fed as the input of the Linux build.
You could also run a VM on the Linux box with an XP image of you want to
save on hardware.
A new version of HAPI HL7v2 has been released! This new version includes a
number of bugfixes, as well as new message structures for the following
versions of HL7v2: v2.7, v2.8, and v2.8.1.
Note that we're not currently able to release structures for v2.7.1 because
of weirdness in the HL7 database
