I am aware of the custom shaders and the examples that are currently in the sdk. However the documentation states "to be continued".. So my question is does Valve plan on releasing more info about getting shaders into mod's ?
I know that Valve used HLSL (High Level Shader Language) for the shaders which are included in HL2. Did Valve use some kind of 3rd party or in-house tools to develope their shaders? Which would allow them to see the shader working before adding it in game? (eg: RenderMonkey, FX Composer, or other?) I am finding it very difficult (as well as others it seems) in figuring out how to get working custom shaders to work in-game... r00t 3:16 CQC Gaming www.cqc-gaming.com _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders
