[hlds] OZ Server - it's still running!

2001-11-02 Thread emberts
I installed a different set of CFG files, and my OZ server has been running for 50 hours with 3 bots! That is a record, I can't remember the last time it ran for so long. It's the CFG files. Depending on what is in them, your server can crash every hour on the hour, it can run and run and run. St

Oh, sorry that you have 400 latency to my servers. Also, sorry about that "one" of 12 servers being down for maintenance. Sorry you're latency is bad too. If you think I really cared about the nature of your complaint, I really don't. :) -Andy Hodges www.Area51Live.com -Original Message-

HoundDawg is right... more info is needed about your setup.  It could be caused by a processor, memory, or network bottleneck.   In general, reducing your maximum player count helps reduce processor and network load.  Reducing the maxrate for clients can reduce the network load.   As for m

I didn't realize Nimda uses TFTP's port. You can always run it on a non-standard port, though. Actually wouldn't that be best regardless of the protocol? I know there are some HL servers (including ours until recently) that run a web server on the same box, so using port 80 would be impossible.
