We have been running a CS server since beta 3.1 all the way back to 1999. In the past year it has just died off dramatically. We can add some crazy mod and it will draw players for a couple weeks but after the novelty wears off it is back to no activity at all. Our biggest issue is that many of

I found that people dont want to join a empty server to just sit and wait for some one else to join. You might want to try putting some bots on. Thats what I did for my deathmatch server, and just set them up to leave after a couple of real players join. This has been the best solution that Ive

Use the user agent instead of the referrer, maybe some sort of firewall/webwasher clears the referrer. The user agent is always there. This has been passed on to the guys who implemented it, they are looking into it. I have no ETA on a fix (as we don't know what is causing the problem yet).
