Sorry for the repost but I can't be the only GSP with the high ping
issue with CSS
Unless you restart these CC:S servers every couple of days you start
pinging 1000+

Same here, running a CS server on port 27015, on server browser is 8167.
I have a redirect on no-ip, myserver.no-ip.com:27015 and when i add it
to favourites i get not responding.

Hi All,
I run 2 servers, DOD and CS:S, set to ports
If you're a GSP shouldn't you have some sort of automated program to
restart your servers daily at some obscene hour so they don't get this
sort of error?
I mean, that doesn't make the error invalid, it's probably another
memory leak, but still, you should consider finding a way to restart
them,
I restart mine daily with either a cron job or a task setup in windows
scheduler.

Allen, dLink is evil - what happened to your Linksys?
If the CS:S server is not on 27017 where you put it, it's quite likely that
the dLink is not forwarding the port. However, hlsw shows it is on the
correct port, and in the server list I see:
65.219.179.21:27015 Dicko 24/7 Avalanche DOD v1.2
What is your server name? I don't see anything on myserver.no-ip.com:27015
or myserver.no-ip.com:8167.

You know, Ook, I use to love Linksys Routers until I started RMA the damn
things every 2-3 months. The Dlink DI-624 is the Schiznit! Rock steady.
Nice piece of equipment, for a home user's router. Unlike the Linksys
WRT55G, I can forward as many ports as I want.
It has some really nice

It will always work when you query the server like that. His router is
set to forward from that port. The problem is the *outgoing* report
from his NAT to the MSL. His NAT is changing the port from 2701x to
whatever.

Even put the Game Server into the DMZ. Still changed it.
I was going to suggest trying the DMZ feature in your router, but now
that you've tried it...
Dlink may be your Schiznit but if this feature stops you from running
a CS server then I think you may need to try

There are not enough spawn points for players on de_dust2.
Only 14 Terrorists and 12 Counter-Terrorists can play at any one time.

The BEFSxxx were pure crap. I'm using two WRT54Gs, and I've had real good
luck with. I got tired of Netgears limited routers, and didn't have the
money for a Cisco (though I wish now I had bought one anyhow). I also use
the sveasoft firmware instead of Linksys's lameware that the router comes
Email me and I can send you an updated version with more spawn points. It
won't affect map consistency either.

Hey Ook,
Thanks for checking again. I've been itching to try some of the hacked
WRT54G firmware, but I'm really happy with the Dlink. If this issue doesn't
perist.
And, the snow comes and goes. 'Bout an 1 inch on the ground at my house,
but none in town. Typical Montana Kalispell weather.

No GSP be me, but I too see my CS:S server doing this. When it's
queried, it'll respond with a ping ranging
