Hey,
I cannot seem to get the relay proxy to work for source.
Heres how im launching the relay server (Windows):

The *game server* is running on that host, port 27515. The SourceTV port for

Hello Fellas.
I have a bit of a problem with my source dedicated server and I first turned
to steam support for help. They only said that they could not help me and that
I should mail you instead. My problem is that when I try to start my Source
dedicated Server
One SteamID can support all HL and HL2 games and all future released Steam
games.
You can use the same Steam account at multiple locations (work / home), but
only one install online at any time.
If you want several machines online at the same time then you need multiple
Steam Accounts (and each h
Steam IDs are tied to the Steam login name.
I can have all my games on the one Steam account (such as CS1.6, HL1, HL2,
CSS) but also I could just have HL1 on one steam account, and a DIFFERENT
account login and place all my HL2 games on it (at the time of purchasing
over steam, be logged into that
There is a SteamID per Steam account, NOT a steam id per game. So its
NOT possible for a steam id to collide with different users (as the
Steam ID defines the account, not the game).

A quick question - is it possible for one user to have a SteamID from
(say) the original Half-life game, and another user to have the same
SteamID in Half-Life 2?
I thought that each install of Steam only had one SteamID, which was
used for all their games - can anyone confirm?
Thanks,

Thanks Alfred.
I'm going to see what I can do with this feature.
(Not that anyone would join any of my servers as a spectator but I will
try to get a decent crowd in for a stress session.)
The docs are nice and clean.
But lacking the good stuff like a full fledged config file set example

SourceTV Question,
tv_dispatchmode <0|1|2>
Sets Source client dispatch mode for connecting clients: 0=never, 1=if
appropriate, 2=always
If this is set to '2', does that mean if the user connects to the local
SourceTV server that the game spawns when tv_enable is 1, they will be
redirected to a So
Thanks for that.

Another request.
I set
tv_enable 1
tv_autorecord 1
tv_maxclients 0
on our Scrim server, (normally I always have the
server on and a password set, but it only gets used
for CAL matches and scrims)
but it's recording a demo "RIGHT NOW" even though no
one is on the server.
Can you change it so that
Nice doc that can I request a feature or two? Well I will anyway cant hurt :P
1. td_demodir specifies the directory to store the demos as they can be large
this would be very useful
2. td_demomask specifies a file mask for recording the demos
e.g. server1-%P-%Y-%M-%D-%h-%m-%s.dem
%P = map ( de_dust

This was what I noticed today after reading the replies. It was getting
reset to 255 for some reason. I added sv_region 0 to every cfg I can imagine
and now its staying in the server list lol.

Set up the local gateway to forward UDP packets on port 27015 to the
IP(s) of the servers you have in the colocation facility. I could help
with iptables commands but if you have a residential-based
gatewat/router (linksys, d-link, etc) then I doubt you have the
ability to do it.

I thought the same thing, turned out my filter wasn't set and it was
showing CS 1.6 servers too.

What about udp forwarding the broadcast ports to your servers?
Thats a trick we use at our LAN's as they are to big to be supported

I would suggest just publishing the addresses of your servers to a website
to keep everyone up to date.
To my knowledge you cannot have a lan server show up in the internet master
and vice versa.

A quick question if someone can help?
My HL2 DM server sometimes dissappears from the STEAM server listings, but
will still show up in ASE and Gametiger,
and when I type sv_region in the console I get this: "sv_region" = "255" (
def. "-1" )
What is the (def."-1") ?
I have tried setting sv_region at

Have you tried setting sv_region to 255?
Maybe that will help?
255 is the default. You need to set it to the region your server is in
or it will *only* show up in the world list. Setting the region will
cause your server to show up in that region *and*
