did you try using a .cfg for the map??? You can name the map for example:
cs_italy.cfg and load all of your chararistics specific for when this map

To wrap this thread up, even though it's mostly dead, the "/3GB" switch in
the boot.ini was not a solution. Could be that we have more than 3GBs of RAM
in the box or could be that we're running the X64 version of Win2k3Ent. Who
knows but we moved the clients to another box and called it a day.

Have you considered "disconnecting" from the XP instead of "log off"? Keeps
the services running under that user active but simply disconnects your
connection to it...when you reconnect again your desktop will be the one you
left. :)

Not to throw a spanner in all of that but win XP will only allow remote
desktops to connect to the console anyway and therefore the /console switch
iirc is obsolete and only works with server based win OS's where you can
establish a new rdp session as well as the console one.

Jack,
I have seen this behaviour.
Log in without the /console switch using Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe)
When you log out, Firedaemon won't restart the services.

If so update them to the latest version. I've seen this 20 times and it's
