well for a start because the linux netcode isn't flawed i never ever get lag. Also there is a bug in the sound code for the source engine which casues the game to skip. As for some reason the engine can't release the sound card properly from some of the loops, this doesn't happen in linux. I will

1) On the box running STEAM games, install the ISA firewall client. You'll find it on the ISA server in a share. 2) On the ISA server, give the STEAM box permission to access the ports listed in the STEAM forums. If you move to Linux, you'll have to make the ISA server the "route of last resort
