If you update to the latest mms api there is no need for having to worry about
the gameinfo.txt
You no longer need:GameBin|gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin

Yeah, the vdf is awesome, seems to load on server startup almost twice
as fast.

Just a quick question,
I have the new metamod installed also with mani admin plugin. But i see my
admin chat/hlstatsx 2 times. I have deleted metamod from gameinfo.txt, so
that can not be the problem.. is this just a bug (because i have it on all 4
servers) or am i doing something wrong?
Greetz,

If you release the plugin I'm sure valve will fix it in no time. Be it
because of the plugin or because they are already working on it is another
question.
But it would probably be useful anyways :).

Ah, sweet. Thanks, I haven't updated it in a few weeks. I'll have to get

I wrote a small batch file that renames the gameinfo.txt, runs the
update command, deletes the new gameinfo.txt, then renames the old one
back to gameinfo.txt. Works swell and I dont ahve to remember to do
anything.

Question was already asked before, the answer is yes.
If you want to not worry about it, metamod's site has instructions to
install some sort of VSP plugin that turns on your plugins.

Seriously. Having to reboot each server twice after a patch (once for
the update and once after I put in the correct gameinfo.txt file) is
maddening.

Do the updates HAVE to overwite this file? Its a small inconvenience to have
to save a copy and write over it everytime. I have forgotten on more than one
occasion and because I use metamod and sour
If you really need a fix for this soon I can put a plugin together
that (somewhat hackily) fixes it - otherwise Valve said they're
working on it.

I and others people already reported it, VALVe said they are working on it
and it'll be fixed in the next update.
