Ive been having a similar issue where suiciding (exploding specifically) on
custom maps causes the server to restart. Whats especially odd about this is
that the server starts itself up again and autorestart or autoupdate is not
currently enabled!

Whats with all these random client updates? Many of my members are

Earlier had a guy said he locked up, so he asked someone to kill him and
when they did the server crashed.

How do I set different permissions for different players, like:

What mod do I use?

Incorrect.
The "." means the current directory.

On your update line;
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game tf -dir . -verify_all
Why is there a . between -dir and -verify
It should be just;
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game tf -dir -verify_all

I had the problem you describe once or twice. I just ran the update
again and it caught a file or two that were either corrupt or weren't
properly downloaded. I then started it up, and it launched perfectly fine.

You don't need -autoupdate for Windows, it doesn't do anything.
As far as the tickrate, I don't believe, without some sort of override,
that you can run 100 tickrate anyway, so you might want to drop that to 66.

Update line would be as follows
cd c:\tf2 in cmd then
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game tf -dir . -verify_all
Start up line would be
c:\tf2\orangebox\srcds -console -game tf -autoupdate -ip x.x.x.x -port
27015 -tickrate 100 +maxplayers 32 +map cp_badlands +log 1

Just released a beta yesterday: http://www.tf2nades.com/ (And yes, it adds
"tf2nades" to the tags. Thanks to Valve for fixing this system!)
If you have any questions or problems please use the SourceMod forum (linked

Could you post your update line, game start line, and anything that

I'm guessing servers in arena mode were misreporting stats to the master
server, which makes a required update understandable - you can't have bugs
messing with peoples' stats, since those are permanently recorded. (Crash fixes
can be optional because someone usually beats valve to it with a met
