It seems like to me, it times out but not 30 seconds or more for me so the map
changes. But it sometimes does take longer. I do server restarts every night...
That could help.

This was supposed to be fixed during the last patch.
Unfortunately it seems to still be around. Happened today on one of my TF2

ugh, Thanks..
For what it's worth, when it happens it leaves a log file with a 0 kb
filesize.. So, I guess I'll just wait it out with the rest of society..

password your server and don't let anyone in...
on a more serious side, there isn't much you can do currently. I'm sure
that they are working on it and thought they had it fixed or they forgot
to apply that
Doubtful there will be anything soon.
I only started noticing it after that patch for the master servers for L4D.

Please fix it, or give me something I can do to lessen the chances of it
happening..
Thanks.

'rate' doesn't actually seem to affect it - it's choking out long
before it hits my rate setting, net_graph 5 shows somewhere around

as a workaround for now, can you set sv_maxrate to 0 (unlimited)?

Hahahaha.
But seriously. This is getting very annoying. Who likes joining their server
only to see people randomly screaming "FUCKING LAG"?

It has been a problem about a week or two before the patch was issued. I'm
uncertain as to why... Maybe Valve made a patch to VAC which caused certain
clients to have issues? Or there's a hacker that's targeting VAC?
I use a linksys router to connect to the Internet. Maybe NAT has something
