We use SourceTV. It is always on, but not always recording. It only
records when an admin sets it to, using the following SM plugin:

Actually it also gives a false CPU usage.
Seeing as the server will use "0%" utilization with under like 15 players.
It's just because the timer is lazy. I've tried limiting FPS and it doesn't
change CPU usage whatsoever from 1000fps down to 20 fpswell maybe a
little but it's not really notic
ber of people in it? Right not you need to

In order for the game engine to run faster than 60fps you need to run a
fps boost tool, or other method to put the windows server into a state
where it will process faster. Essentially people who are seeing low CPU
utilization are running their servers at 60fps, what some are referring
to as u
what do you mean "*Run windows media player or srcdsfpsboost in
the background and see actual usage*."? You mean that that the unboosted
reported cpu usage is inaccurate?

They are retarded or they run their servers at 1 FPS unboosted.

I've noticed a few people insisting that a full 32 slot tf2 server will only
use at most 5% of a cpu core. How is this possible I use linux servers,
and they always use 60-80% when 32 slots are full?

Install SourceMod and setup vote bans to be a publicly available
command, and set the ban duration to say 90 minutes or so. That's an
average length of a Coop game, and even if it's too short or too long,
it's plenty of time for someone else to join.
