“We used to have to fight our provider pretty hard to retain our IP addresses.” I had the same experiences but ultimately got to keep the IP’s. It was a bit of a struggle, they’re usually saying something along the lines that it’s absolutely totally completely IMPOSSIBLE, which then gets changed
