Much appreciated Jason! :)
I can only imagine that it's a pain to diagnose and probably involves some
'mission critical' servers/stats/achievement related.
Best of luck, I promise we'll be happy when it's fixed ;)

I dunno, I think Karl has a good point, and as I'm in the same boat as him, I
feel it. It hurts to put some of your spare time into managing servers for a
community and do all you can to make them popular and running sweet - only to
have them randomly lock up and make you look bad. The 'Scout
I'm not sure it matters which map, just happened from badlands to steel on
ours, totally killed it.
I beg and plead with you Valve, please fix this asap! I can overlook the lack
of content updates with tf2 and all the glowing problems and bugs with l4d -
because everyone has to deal with th
Actually, it would be nice (and I'd appreciate it) if Valve could just reply to
say that they are looking into this, or (hopefully) that they know what the
problem is - and it will be fixed soon :)

Imagine a life without walls.
I've had it happen twice on l4d today, and on our personal tf2 server, killing
90% of the population with it. But yes I think this is one of the most annoying
problems for tf2/l4d at the moment. Especially as users/community members
assume it's a poorly run server and go elsewhere afterwards.
Did anyone ever find a solution to this? (TF2) As it's still doing it to us as
of today. And also happened on a 8v8 vs for LFD today as well.

I'm not saying I'm right here.. but maybe the effects you see in-game from
using sv_cheats 0 are what valve intended for vs mode? Afterall, why would they
go to the effort of coding the melee nerf etc? (especially when it's quite
accepted that the standard melee is over-powered).
There are
Yeah no STV here either. I would imagine most people will say the same.

I'm so happy that other people are having this trouble!! Often gets to 15
seconds and then I'll rejoin the game, but then maybe 50% of the server has
timed out, never to be seen again.
I've reinstalled my server, re-done SM and MM. Nothing helped. Started deleting
plugins to try and find a
I was quite interested in these two, thinking I could get better quality from
ingame comms:
sv_voicequality 5sv_voicecodec vaudio_speex
But unfortunately they don't appear to exist when I put them in the hlsw
console :( Much like the min/max updaterate, unlag/maxunlag ones you wrote.
Also:
Just thinking.. If you add this to your server.cfg and say on the first map
people vote for 'easy' when it changes to the 2nd map, will it reload
impossible (due to reloading the server.cfg)?

The early demo access is scheduled to begin around 2 am PST on the Xbox 360 and
7 am PST on the PC.
So 3pm GMT I guess :)
