I agree with you ! VALVe can easily make it same as DODS ! Cvars will be
more easier than plugins wich can cause some of high cpu usage or be broken
by an update !

sorry, forget one thing:
run the game on one core, because with 2 core, game make ping pong (core 1
<-> core 2 etc ..), then fps drop !!!

Yes, same problem with my c2d 2.6 ghz, debian, kernel 1000hz, server running
at 500 fps (on one core). when server is full => fps drop 40/45, cpu 80% :(
