Steam download rate is linked to the game rate, wtf
someone have more information about this?

since this time, all people have problems with the in and out values, you can
see in net_graph of cs/client
normaly: 1 or 2 updates ago (~ 1 month)
rate: 25000
cl_rate: 20000
cl_cmdrate: 101
cl_updaterate: 101
cl_cmdbaclup: 2

shows in net_graph ~
8kb in and 8kb out
and 10/10 with some tuning
in and out values are nearly equal

now: with the same rates
you get 10-12kb in, without some tuning, that was not "possible" before
but only 5-6kb out

and there is no way to get a higher out value without increase the cl_cmdbackup
you have to set the cl_cmdbackup up to 10, then you get a out value of ~8kb

i have spoken to many many people, anybody have the same problem since one
~month
you can see it on the cs-server traffic statistic too
server traffic statistic 1gb out, 600mb in (from server sight)

is this a simliar problem?, does valve playing with the "netcode"?
