This is definately missing from a lot of hlds faq...

Hello
You need to specify a map the server should startup with. I bet if you try
writing status in the console it says something like "cant status, not
connected".
Add eg.
map bounce
To your config or command line (+map bounce) and it should work.

I have tried that before.. same thing. :(
Regardless, ip xx.xx.xx.xx is already in the .cfg file and the output
of the console shows that hlds is binding to the ip I wnat it to be
bound to.
