I don't know whether this always happens and I haven't noticed it before... But I have noticed that the source update replaces my MOTD with the default one. Wouldn't it be more logical that this be one of the files that is left, the same way that autoexec, mapcycle, etc. are just left? Graham

We have released an update to Source Engine and Counter-Strike: Source. Run the hldsupdatetool to get this update. This update prevents the te bug for any mod and also fixes Counter-Strike: Source crashing when bringing up the budget panel. - Alfred
