Thanks, I suspected as much. So hldsupdatetool is still the way to get
l4d/l4d2 server files.

There is no such thing as a TF2-specific mailing list. All three
hlds_announce, hlds, and hlds_linux mailing lists encompass DoD:S, HL2:DM,
CS:S, TF2, L4D2, *and* other games (such as TWI's Rising Storm). The only
L4D2-specific list would be L4Dmapper (see:

We have an L4D2 mailing list? I know there is an L4DMapper list, but
I'm not aware of any L4D2 or TF2 lists. Last time I checked (which was
about 15 seconds ago) the only dedicated servers lists were hlds (for
windows), hlds_linux, hlds_announce, and hlds_apps (whatever that is).
