You can also assign scrds a higher priority in task manager.

Did he ever say how many CPU's/Core's he has?

the results of running STAT.

Heh
Guys, you are all well aware that SRCDS fps can die in the arse without
showing a proportionate increase in CPU usage.
You have all seen it, double didgit fps numbers with low CPU usage at
exactly the same time according to "rcon stats" and
I wonder what makes you think that in-game CPU stats are more accurate
than those provided by standard OS utility?

Is this a multi CPU / multi core machine? If so I suspect
your not understanding the way taskmaanger displays usage
and hence one of the cores / cpu's is in fact maxed out
which would explain your lag.

I don't know if it works the same way on Src servers and hld servers but on my

like slow motion bots and bots that won't fall when they die. I know Src and
HLds are two different animals but the common thread is the
How are you making the determination that your CPU is not suffering from
high load? You may already know this, but the windows task-manager is not
going to provide accurate CPU usage for your source server. A more useful /
accurate way to see if you are running out of CPU while the problem happens,
You could be running out of cpu resources. Setting your server to 100 tic
uses a lot of cpu and also bots use a lot of additional CPU.
