Yes! I have noticed it too, i though it was a connection problem, but i'm in
LAN with my server an also suffered this problem, and the processor was not
overloaded. It was especially hard in the ricochet server, i had about
70-90 ms for moments...

The CS update wipes out your liblist.gam, so metamod is no longer
started. Just open up your liblist.gam and replace the line starting
with 'gamedll_linux' with:
gamedll_linux "dll

Found the error it was that the user did not have write rights on the
hlds_l directory
