Another possible option: I personally use mrtg and qstat to keep player graphs. I also use the pidfile option on the command line. You could rig a small script or crontab that uses qstat to query the server. If no response, kill the process. Or perhaps, if no response after two checks. - Orig

I have been having random server crashes, but i didnt see the console. I, and everyone else just loses connection to the server and I have to restart the process. The server still appears to be running if i do ps aux, but its not. This happens on both my boxes. 1 dual mp2000 w/RH9, and 1 dual opt
