Oh grow up. First I never said I did use cl_interpolate 0, but I have tried
it, about 5 months ago when people first found out what it did.
Do you even know how gameplay looks when cl_interpolate 0 is set? Models
jerk back and forth, making it rather annoying and difficult to hit anyone
anyways.

You are not changing how they see you. This isnt a bug nor a cheat.

You can do that on the server by setting sv_unlag 0. Then the lag

Get a clue. Just because Valve forgot to mark it as a cheat cvar doesn't
make it any less of a cheat. There wer
Michael, does this apply to CS 1.6 as well?
When I type on game CS 1.6 game console cl_interpolate,
it did not return anything.
I would call this an exploit and something needs to be done to stop it.

I know of the dos attacks I could run into, but the point is that both old

That's not correct. The old query style provides a security issue,
potential DOS iirc and you should not be enabling it. Only old

is broken if it cant use the new protocol.
For the problem itself have you restarted the server and

I have just setup a dedicated Half-Life Firearms Server on Linux and mine
displays in the Steam list.
Make sure your filter in the Steam program doesn't have the checkbox "Has
players playing" checked.
If that box is checked and no one is on
doesn't sv_enableoldqueries stop it responding to the now 'proper' queries?

Gordian,
I think a few of us are having this exact same problem, information is very
scarce at the moment, I'm not even sure if Valve have aknolwedges this as a
problem and added it to their list of things to do.. Alfred?
