I was thinking of trying that SteamBans thing. What I understand it does is when a player connects, the plugin connects to SteamBans.com global list. If the player is banned on there, it won't allow them to connect to any servers, including yours, that are running the SteamBans plugin. From:

One thing I don't agree with (sorry VALVe) is the delayed banning. I realize they are trying to make it so the cheaters don't know what hack they used. But IMO, that's not very smart. The reason for an anti-cheat tool is to weed them out before they wreak havoc, not after they've had their fun.

Indeed. It's also possible to create a banlist of your own and let the plugin check that too. So if you want to ban someone and you don't want to upload it to SteamBans, you can always add it to your own banlist. The plugin also checks that list. An example is our list:
