Interesting. Ill put some fact about this issue. sv_consistency 1 is
on by default. Now, i had to put that into the server config also some
months ago since the players got that consistency error. After that,
nothing (it wasnt a leet model which was giving it, but guerilla).

We've been tracking and logging it since January with no obvious
pattern. We'll continue to keep our eyes peeled, too.
Happened again this afternoon. Stock srcds, no addons/plugins.

I don't think it's even super duper strict as I know some people use
colored models and they don't get consistency errors.

Sorry for the spam, but please note that this is not a gentoo-hardened (or
even gentoo) specific issue because I'm having the exact same problem on a
box running debian/vanilla

I'll try to delete the leet model and let the updater redownload it =)

I never said it was an elegant fix ^^ Just a quick workaround to get his

You are right though.. It would be nice if this is corrected.

Try deleting InstallRecord.blob (I think that's the
one), and then re-running the update, and then give it
a try. (That file should be in the .Steam directory
IIRC) I'm running Gentoo (although not hardened), and
I am having no issues at all.

Yeah but putting it to 0 can have a potential cheating issues: users that
start to use models with big red heads or so, would produce an unfair
advantage for those users =)
Alfred can we get a fix for this?

you may want to try a different distro for testing. Try Centos which is
binary rebuild of RHEL. I would recommend CentOS-4.3

It has happened to us while playing on our server. It happens directly after
a map change. The players join (bot or human) and when you pick a team you
spawn but cannot move. you can switch your weapons but not shoot them and
you can also look around but the timer stays at zero and you get a round

Hi,
Yea I noticed this also with our servers, when the leet model was added.
You have sv_consistency set to "1". In order to bypass this, change the
value of this to "0" in your server config file.
As far as I understand, sv_consistency checks if your clients have the

Hi,
Our server has just recently started giving consistency errors to all
players. At my client it give an error on the leet model file, but I don't
know if other clients get the same error. Any suggestions? We already tried
