Centos 4.4 (Final). The update utility will just exit with the saying
aborted reguardless of parameters passed to it.

i have done all of those it worked before and when i went to update for CSS
update recently anything i pass to it exits saying Aborted

Make sure ldconfig doesn't give any errors for one...mine did that when I
accidentally replaced a library with a non-symlink one...removed it and
Steam no longer gives me Aborted
