RE: [hlds_linux] Daemon for running HLDS?

2006-09-24 Thread Tristan Morris
The easiest way would be to use some kind of plugin, eg AMX restart for CS 1.6. The easiest way is to fork it by adding a & to the end of the command. Eg ./hlds_linux -game cstrike &. Other ways would be to use a game control panel, eg www.gamecp.com or using a plugin and screen. Cheers, Tristan

It's not like we Linux people *ever* had to use the 8+3 syntax from DOS (unless someone planted us in front of those primitive machines). I agree that putting the year into the filename would be of help and that a CVAR acting like PHP's "date" function were a nice feature. ~~ Ondra kama wrote:

Oh, I still have logs from 2003 laying around on some servers. No real reason to have the old logs over a year. But I would to have a better structure on logs. It would help my admins. And I like to keep things as long as possible... You never know when you need to look into getting info from a ol

Just a bump. Maybe this could also be set by a cvar? either make it so we can set it as MMDD and the count + extension adds themself. And the default is current MMDD... Even better it would be if I could do '/MM/DD/' and it creates and saves the logs in directories as specified by the st

Hi folks, ive noticed that our servers are not or only very random showing up in the server browser. I think this is due to the fact the we got a 212. network and the ingame browser starts at low ips and works upwards. Not only that this query system puts gsps in disadvantage who got high ip range
