CentOS is great, but the default installation includes many running daemons
you likely do not need. Here's my one liner to disable things that are
typically not needed for my game servers where FPS rarely fluctuate more
than 10% on default and xen kernels. This includes no bluetooth, software

For a mod or a game? Cause the reason this is the html vgui element is not
updated every frame but every event (thus when you make another key stoke an

Isn't it actually just not updating?
The vgui control receives the key down/up, and updates. THEN sends the
key to the webbrowser control.
So it updates before the web browser control updates.

Hello.
I have a Intel core 2 duo E6750 @ 2.66 GHZ , with 2 GB Ram DDR2, with CentOs
and the last Kernel.
With this configuration, and 6 counter-strike 1.6 servers running, i have
bad fps, a example of the fps.
500 - 500 - 500 - 500 - 500 - 500 - 12 - 500 - 500 - 500 - 500 - 18 500 -
500 - 500 -
If it is supported in any way, hack or not, let me know (You've seen me in
two IRC channels already, I believe! :] ) and i can write you the script to
do what I mentioned. Figured I'd offer!

I would be HIGHLY interested in javascript support in the MOTD again (as it
used to be on HL1 platform).
I'm really annoyed by the fact they blocked this.
Any solutions are highly welcome!

Do MOTDs support javascript at all? If so, you could write a simple function
which would insert a space after every key-up, forcing it all to appaer.
When key-down would be activated, the space would be replaced by a letter
and a new space appended.Otherwise..no ideas.
