search should get replaced with a server browser.
And additional it should be possible to connect to a own server who get
automatic or manual reserverd by the server owner if he want to play.
Then it makes sense, to host a s

"-nomaster" on the command line will stop your server from telling the
master servers about itself, which is what sv_public does. Or set
sv_search_key, which has the added bonus of not stopping your servers show

There is so many bug with the windows (browser, console, password request
not being shown or disapearing behind one and each other) that make the
experience so boring. Anyway if the sv_public 0/1 is really released it
would be a relief, I passworded my servers for my community only but it's

You mean a browser like the one you open from the console presently? It
looks like the same server browser used for other games...it just isn't
auto-loaded and hasn't had its full functionality added yet.

him to my admin config for my CS source server. When he joined my CSS

For L4D demo his steam is: STEAM_1
Which is what tripp

Have you tried comparing the differences between -fork'ing and standalone
servers? The whole idea of the -fork option was to improve preformance.

To use the sv_search_key here is what you do.
1.) Set sv_search_key on your server.
ex. sv_search_key patrick
2.) Have the host client (the one who will be creating the lobby) set the
same sv_search_key in their console.
3.) Host client should now create the lobby.
4.) Other clients connect. O

Exactly like in other source games, there is still the setinfo exploit.
Setinfo allows you to modify hidden cvars (development flag or something?)
and cheat cvars which also have the "userinfo flag" of course.
