Yeah, they've always shown up as players in the console, but they were
never included in server query responses before the last update (at
least not on my server). That's why they are suddenly showing up in
HLSW, etc.

Sourcemod and Metamod are the latest versions. All ten of my l4d servers
won't stay up past the first few minutes. The logs don't show anything
worth posting, they just stop with no errors.

I've had no problems at all since I updated sourcemod to 1.3-2809. Try
running the server without sourcemod or metamod and see if it stays up.

I got this little problem with my HLDS.
I have compiled an custom kernel which works really nice, and done the
changes so its 1000hz etc. And installed HLDS like its supposed to be
installed on linux systems. When I start the HLDS and cstrike with
-pingboost 2, it gives me only an fps

Try removing pingboost. Could be the root of your problems. What is the
fps with pingboost outright removed?

Turns out for some reason the hlstatsx plugin was causing them to crash
everytime it attempted to log anything.
I disabled that plugin on all the servers, and also went ahead and wrote
a script to update sourcemod across all of them from 1.2.1 to 1.2.3.
Stable now. Stupid updates

You need to update to a Sourcemod 1.2.4 or 1.3 snapshot if you don't
want plugins using the events system to crash. Valve changed the
undocumented l4d sdk again.

With no pingboost it gives me 500fps.

latest 1.2.4. I am now dealing with the latest version of the All4Dead
sourcemod plugin deciding to stop working on the second level of any
campaign. It's strange.
