connect to the server with the last update.
I don't know if there are any related issue from doing this, but at least
you have a way to launch your server and play on them.

So there must be something in there. However, I don't know if you can
connect the server running the yesterday engine

Try updating via the steam executable as opposed to using -autoupdate in the
start script.

The old files don't seem to be doing anything for me, still crashing
the same spot every time. There are no addons being loaded, I've even
tried removing the /bin/ folder and letting it update itself again.

None of my L4D2 servers are getting any traffic and I'm seeing the following
error:

I can't find any information on what could be causing this apart from a
problem with steam_appid.txt. Mine is currently set at 550,
I am having the exact same problem. My steam_appid.txt has the following
