One more thing to note: it also seems that the netconsole is useless after this
update. I can telnet to it, but I get no response from any command.

Since installing this update, I am not getting any output to the console after
the initialization stuff. Nothing at all about player connections or events
happening in the game. I have 3 out of 6 forks full on my server, but this is
all I see on the console:

A required update for Left 4 Dead 2 is now available. Please run

If quit restarts the server, then the srcds process actually crashes
during it which causes it to restart. You must have some plugins running
on the servers. Why the servers go stuck when rebooted, i do not know.
That's new to me.

I've tried using the restart command as suggested, it produces the exact same
issue. It send the server in a reboot, pops out the error messages, and gets
stuck in the end without restarting it.
Before the passing using quit would do the same as restart on our l4d2 servers.

Right. I guess i was confused there. Then again some servers crash upon
quit while having certain plugins on them and restart after 10 seconds.
I propably got confused with those or then i was thinking if the server
crashes, on linux they restart automatically back up and no manual
restart is n
Don't you have to use "_restart" to actually restart the server? Using
"quit" or "exit" actually closes down the srcds_run instance if I'm not
mistaken. The OP's situation is a bit different though, as he shouldn't be
getting those errors regardless if he's trying to close down his server or
restar
Pior,
Running sourcemod and metamod are actually easier than a lot think. If you
read into it TOO much, you will actually confuse yourself.
Look... download the source files (sourmod and metamod tar balls)...
In the metamod archive, there is I believe, 3 files in there... one folder
and 2 files.
Hi,
Normally we force versus mode only on certain private servers. Currently we
notice we cannot force it to normal versus. Lobby connecting also permits
realism versus.
Any way to block this behavior? Simply setting sv_gametypes "versus" is not
enough anymore.
Cheers,
Saint K.
I've been getting that all along, ever since L4D2 first came out.

Every time i've typed quit, the server puts those never close messages
and simply quits. It doesn't restart after 10 seconds like tf2 or css does.
