I run several dods servers all with
"sv_master_legacy_mode 1"

Seems as of this past update "sv_master_legacy_mode 1" Will get you unlisted
from the MasterServers List.
If the cvar "sv_master_legacy_mode 1" is set to 1 in the server.cfg or any
.cfg the server WILL NOT be listed in STEAMS Master Server List.
Make sure to either not use it, or if the cvar is s
I guess I haven't, KAC checks the message length (greater than
32chars, less than 254). You're going to have to go with the all out
message removal, I guess...

Hopefully that works for you, I haven't had any issues with KAC regarding this.

If mat_showlowresimage is now cheat on CS Source beta, then it should be
cheat also in Day of Defeat Source and Team Fortress 2. For example KAC
will ban players for using it.

I'm getting this error on linux and server is unable to start. It seems
that gameinfo.txt isn't found anymore. Using this as start line on
/home/game/srv2/orangebox dir:
./srcds_run -game tf +map cp_dustbowl +ip 89.166.50.111 -port 27045
And all i get is this:

Jason forgot to add that the update is required. New Client and old
server does not work. At least for dods.

Either there was new update or my server just didn't download all the

Updating 'Team Fortress 2 Content' from version 151 to version 152

Obviously you haven't met 15+ of these folks who use different methods
than the ones that KAC blocks. Yeah, it blocks some but not all.

Somehow, since TF2 release, update tool started downloading A LOT client
files. L4D and L4D2, as I remember, ~300MB we get dll files. I understand,
that client.dll is needed to verify CRC. But why the hell we need video
files, Xbox configs, and client platform dll's? By disabling these on

What the hell is going on with the updater?
First it runs a large update downloading all sorts of hl2 sound files. After it
starts downloading another update, and shit like this is included:
38.22% downloading /home/tf2_wc3/orangebox/tf/media/cp_granary.mov
Why would we want that on servers???
SM and KAC have both worked very well for me, I haven't had an issue since.
Thanks,
Kyle.

With the disconnect messages, they can do some changes on a server like
pause it (same thing as you would hit esc in HL2) but nothing really
critical except crash the whole server but these exploiters seem to be
just random pubbers "having fun". That they can drop everyone off from
the server A
I guess that's fixed in the OB Engine, so just wait for the next CSS update
and it'll be fixed.

as we all know, we have still the exploit with the long disconnect message
in CSS vanilla servers. Normally a server would crash, but it seems they are
able to execute or change code with this exploit on the server. Why? Because
we had a player on the server today which disconnected a vi
