Thanks for the tip. It indeed was something in the cfg dir. I started isolating the issue and found out that it was autoexec.cfg containing cvar randommap which caused server to crash. It works fine while put in server console (picks random map) but it seems that it cannot be in autoexec.cfg no

ics I just got my server back up and running by reinstalling everything. I then copied over addons/ cfg/ and maps/ but here's the kicker - now it doesn't start up! I guess I should have said the concept of the "your community servers" and not necessarily a straight port of it. You're right, it can and does get abused very easily.
