Hello,
I belong to a czero community and we have been running a server for a long
time (5+ years) but since today it stoped working.
We run it in a linux dedicated server machine and for some reason after
this friday 13/07/2012 at around 7am (UK time) we could no longer get the
hlds running proper

Speaking of fixing sv_pure issues with clients, does anyone know if this
update fixed players switching from sv_pure 1 or 2 servers to any other
server not being able to see custom content on said servers?

at that point.
And thanks that page you linked wasn't coming up for me a few moments ago
but appears it is now.

Do take notice that it's impossible for us to guess what game are you
talking about if you do not mention it in your post. Also, Steam news
are good place to start. http://store.steampowered.com/news/
It seems to be TF2 that you are talking about and a fix for client

I just got a very small update on a client of only 5.3 MB , what was this
for?

I am seeing your servers on that IP. It looks like your client is still
searching using the old master, but your server is heartbeating to the new one.
We are working on speeding up the changover to get all servers heartbeating to
the new master, and all clients searching it, too.

Sorry, too many things happening this morning, didn't get to it yet :-)
I run two OP4 servers, and you can find them here:
current ip: 72.160.94.10:27015 and 72.160.94.10:27017
My ip is dynamic, I tell my players to connect to ooksserver.no-ip.info,
and that usually works just fine:
OoksServ
Same with DMC servers, they showed with version 70 but when I updated to
version 71 they no longer show in the steam server list but they show in
favorites list.I can join via IP address directly.

Do as Fletcher said, send him your server's ip's and ports. Do it
offlist if you don't want us to know your server ip's but he can check
and have a look.

that the servers are down, I check the steam server list and find they

It could be that the search is still going to the old HL1 master.
Can you describe exactly what you are seeing when you say that the server is
not there?
What's an IP address of one of your servers that I can check to see if it's
listing properly?

Maybe...It used to take 30 seconds for my servers to show up after a
restart. After this update, it's been five minutes and they are still
not there.
