I am only running one srcds DS process. Does it make sense for me to set the
affinity to only one processor? Or am I better off leaving it and letting it
balance?

I guess I'm the first to try this suggestion.
I was already running kernel 2.6.22.1-smp, so I patched it with
patch-2.6.22.1-rt9 turned on the "Complete Preemption (Real-time)", and
compiled and installed the new kernel.
Using this option seem
g shit about other server admins.

"bad" will only serve to drive players away, and more likely onto your
servers, if they are so much better than the competition.

I understand the need and have, in the past, used this method myself.
But I have also been on the player side and have seen the potential for abuse
and misuse. I want to connect to the server that _I_ want to connect to.

The beta is an improvement for us. We are finally able to get off version 3048.
All of the other versions were unplayable.
The only thinking seemingly left to fix is the end-of-round lag and the
nade-throw model glitch. Hate that one!

OK, I'll bite:
"i really don't want to recompile the kernel just to solve those hitches which
didn't exist before the june 12th update"
Which options in the kernel can be changed to fix the hitches?

I'd like to send in a suggestion regarding hacks that block flash bangs.
I think that flashes should not completely white wash a spectator...just the
player in game. That way if an admin is specting a suspected player and he gets
flashed, he ca

Is it possible that it is not actually a problem with the kernel? Maybe there
are some options turned on in the earlier version that you have not chosen in
the newer one? Wouldn't it be great if that turned out to be the case and we
could figur

For the record, I have held out on upgrading at all to the sv_pure version, and
my 18 person 100tick still purrs like a kitten. I'm awaiting all of these bugs
to be ironed out before moving forward.
