Also, there is a sv_lan (0/1) convar which enables/ disables the LAN-mode.
If your server installation is really new, you need to restart it after
it's first start. Needed steam files for online mode won't be accessable
else and the server will start
Downloading the SteamPipe version of the client is very awful. I need to
download the beta and can't use the old client anymore. If I want to, I
need to unsubscribe from the beta first. Why is there no way to have
both side by side?

Steamcmd running under linux is downloading the windows files (.exe,
.dll), too.

So, you cannot leave a server unless you use the alias workaround or kill
the game in task manager? What kind of stupidity is that? Has to be a bug.
